Description
WW2/Third Reich: A rare set of books and maps relating to the intended occupation of England following operation Sealion. The books were printed in Berlin in 1940 and dated August 1st and are in excellent condition and would have been distributed to the military prior to the invasion. Information on most major towns, cities and infrastructure giving, in some cases in-depth analysis, also showing images of places of interest with grid references for populations centres in Great Britain and Ireland ranging from Devizes to Dublin. Individual maps of towns entitled Mappe A Militargeographische Angaben uber England. Fantastic large maps of Great Britain and Ireland of varying detail from population centres to road and rail networks. An exceptionally group directly relating to the proposed Nazi invasion of England, Sealion was postponed until January 1941, again in May 1941 and then shelved indefinitely.
