Valuations, answered
How much does a valuation cost?
Formal insurance and probate valuations are charged at £96/hr (£80 + VAT). Informal auction appraisals are free.
What is the difference between an appraisal and a valuation?
An auction appraisal is an informal estimate of likely sale value, given free of charge. A formal valuation is a written document prepared for insurance or probate purposes.
Can you value an entire estate?
Yes. We carry out probate valuations for whole estates, working with solicitors and executors, and can attend the property across the Medway towns and Kent.
Do I have to sell with you afterwards?
No. A valuation carries no obligation to consign, though we are of course happy to help if you choose to sell.
